The Victorinox Chef’s knife was featured in Cooks Magazine which my wife subscribes to. I dont often take their product reviews that seriously because cooking is my wifes’s hobby. When I came upon this product, which matched a low-end choice as top-of the line, my interest got piqued. Knife envy was located in my psyche somewhere and here was my chance to get value and distinction and have it the next few days through Amazon. The sequel to the story is that Victorinox Fibrox 8-Inch Chef’s Knife has become the “favorite knife for working vegetables, fruits, bread and meat”. It feels good to hold and is always shinny and sharp. A friend in the kitchen. Try it you will like it, especially if you never found a sexy knife before for cheap.

A nice knife. Easy to handle in the kitchen. We use a butcher’s steel to keep this knife sharp, sharpening every couple of weeks which takes about 3 minutes. The Fibrox handle is well worth the added cost.

(check out my customer image, it’s still looks brand new)
Sounds like something a married couple would say eh??? I don’t feel I can add any more positive-ness to this knife but here I go. The reviews don’t lie people this is a great knife, vary usable hardness, sharpens well, has not even begun to fade or rust, the handle is perfect for someone with large hands or small hands, the blade has a nice fine taper to the back of the blade (no multiple sharpening angles which I hate!!!), on and on it’s just a good knife… I got this knife right when it hit the market and glad I did. I’ve recently ordered a new one as a valentine gift to a certain someone(:D). I would give them mine but how would we knife fight as a couple? LOL!!!
I truly don’t think I’m going to be buying another one unless:
A. It get’s stolen or lost.
B. It get’s so old the handle dry rots.
C. I have to defend myself with it and I break it off in an intruders rib cage.
D. I’m drunk and take out in the back one day to bang on concrete (lol).
E. I accidentally leave it soaking in meritic acid.
(are you getting the picture???)

The knife is very good, as are all Victornix products. Please note though that this is not their flagship line. If you want the best one then you need to drop the extra coin on their forged steal line. However, if you want a very good knife for a reasonable price then this is a good one to consider. If you are looking for one that looks very pretty, and is also inexpensive, then you should check out Ikea.
